My name is Sue Miley, and I provide Christian counseling to individuals and couples in Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas. My specialties include Christian marriage counseling, individual counseling, career counseling, and support for mood-related struggles such as anxiety and depression. My goal is to help you work through real life challenges while building a stronger, Christ-centered foundation for your relationships, decisions, and emotional health.

Educational Background
I earned my undergraduate degree in Finance from Louisiana State University (1986). I later completed a Master’s in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing (1993). After feeling called into counseling, I pursued a Master’s in Education with a focus in Community Counseling (2004) and became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
A Practical, Grounded Approach
Before counseling, I spent 12 years at Community Coffee Company in leadership roles including Financial Analyst, Finance Manager, Marketing Manager, Corporate Controller, and Vice President. That business background shaped how I work with clients today, especially those who want counseling that is clear, practical, and goal-focused.
Many professionals and business owners appreciate that I understand leadership pressure, performance expectations, and what it feels like to carry responsibility, then go home and try to be emotionally present.
This is counseling, not business coaching, but I bring a real-world lens to the work.
Combining Faith and Counseling
My approach integrates biblical principles with sound psychological tools. As a follower of Christ and a leader in my church, I believe healing and growth happen through truth, accountability, wise support, and a deepening relationship with Jesus Christ.
If faith is important to you, you will not have to “leave it at the door” in counseling.

Personal Life
I’ve been happily married for 38 years and am blessed with three children and six grandchildren. My family and I live in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where I enjoy spending time with my loved ones, painting, reading, cooking, caring for my two miniature dachshunds, and following the stock market.
