Reflecting on the past twenty years, yes twenty, of Crossroads Professional Counseling, it has truly been a God path. Changing from a corporate business career, finding Christ, experiencing true transformation, and embarking on the educational and experiential journey of becoming a licensed professional counselor has been a true calling.
I like change. And every decade or so, I like to mix things up. Hopefully, all are in a positive direction.
From early on, I felt called to help others. In my strengths and weaknesses, God has chosen a path to Crossroads and, through Crossroads, to help others. I am so thankful to our clients and, after all of these years, our friends and family, to serve and assist you and your family and friends. Truly, your trust in us is forever appreciated and never taken for granted.
Announcing New Partnership
It is a true blessing in my life, and I believe it is a blessing to the Crossroads family that Allison Schoonmaker will join Crossroads Professional Counseling as an owner, a partner, and a caring and talented therapist.
Allison has been in private practice for the past 18 years, helping individuals and families work through relational distress and communication problems, mood disorders, family issues, spiritual issues, and trauma.
I have had opportunities in my varied career to work with talented people who are passionate about our cause and called to help and heal. I have found that Allison is all of these things wrapped into one. Or two, as I feel like we are a perfectly matched pair to continue to serve and help individuals and families in Baton Rouge and the surrounding community.
We are also growth-minded. Our desire is to build a counseling practice of other like-minded, talented, faith-based counselors who primarily want to help and heal. Allison will lead the efforts to grow our team and resources.
